• Moving to Innessco – Built to Remove the Risk.

Trials before commitment. User acceptance testing. Single-weekend cutover. Legacy environment retained two weeks. Day 1 onsite support.

Moving to a new IT platform is one of the biggest decisions a law firm makes. The concern is rarely just the technology — it is the risk of disruption to partners, lawyers, support staff and clients.

Innessco manages migration through a structured process: discovery, platform design, trial migration, user testing, weekend cutover, stabilisation and decommissioning. The objective is simple: test before go-live, move over a weekend, support staff on Day 1, and keep the old environment available until your firm is confident the transition is complete.

    OUR 7-STEP PROCESS

    The Innessco Migration Process

    1
    Discovery

    Discovery

Innessco conducts a structured review of your current environment, including your practice management system, Microsoft 365 tenant, office network, printers, users, applications and legacy data. This discovery becomes the foundation for the migration plan.

    2
    Platform Design

    Platform Design

Innessco designs the new Cloud PC or Managed PC environment, including servers, applications, security settings, user access, printing and office connectivity. For Affinity firms, Innessco coordinates with Dye & Durham on server configuration and pre-migration preparation.

    3
    Trial Migration

    Trial Migration

Before staff are moved, Innessco builds the new environment and completes an internal trial migration. Applications are installed, data and file structures are tested, and known issues are identified and resolved before user testing begins.

    4
    User Testing

    User Testing

Nominated users test the new environment against day-to-day workflows, including practice management, document drafting, email, printing and video conferencing. Feedback is collected and changes are made before the final cutover date is confirmed.

    5
    Cutover Weekend

    Cutover Weekend

The final cutover is completed over a single weekend. Staff finish on the old system on Friday. Innessco completes final migration, validation and configuration over the weekend so staff can start on the new platform on Monday.

    6
    Stabilise

    Stabilise

The legacy environment is retained for approximately two weeks after cutover. During this period, staff can reference or retrieve anything required from the old environment while the new platform is monitored and stabilised.

    7
    Decommission

    Decommission

Once the firm is confident the migration is complete, Innessco decommissions the legacy environment and confirms that data has been migrated, archived or retained as agreed.

    Day 1 Onsite Support

Innessco is onsite at your primary office on Day 1 to answer questions, resolve access issues, assist with printing, and help staff settle into the new environment.

Most issues are already addressed during trial migration and user testing, so Day 1 support is focused on confidence, reassurance and small practical adjustments — not discovering major problems for the first time.
